Dr. Melanie Battle is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon with more than twenty years of experience diagnosing and treating complex conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and pursued advanced fellowship training in spine surgery and spinal deformity, also at Johns Hopkins.
Her practice spans spinal trauma, spinal deformity, minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation procedures, and adult reconstructive spine care — offering both surgical and non-surgical paths to recovery. She previously served as medical director and founder of a spine surgery practice, and continues to consult for medical device and biologics companies, contributing to physician education and the development of surgical technique.
When surgery is warranted, Dr. Battle draws on advanced, minimally invasive techniques to restore function and relieve pain — care built on precision, power, and purpose.
